My blog is behind schedule. Whoa! That never happens. I had one cup of coffee while skimming the morning paper. And now, my stomach is growling for breakfast. “Calm down I’ll feed you in a bit.” Despite my tardiness, I’m actually in a good mood. How did I get here, and why am I not upset or disappointed? A minute behind schedule and I use to freak the Whoops! right out of here.
To get an idea of why I’m late, let’s look back. A couple of months ago, my jobsite thought having a night shift would increase our output. Next thing I know, I’m working 2:30pm to 11:00. (not a bad 8hr shift). Guess the numbers didn’t work out. Now we are working 5pm-3:30am (10hrs) UGH! One the brightside, the check will be fat.
Readjusting to the late morning sleep routine has also affected my morning schedule. I’m still trying to fit everything into the shorten time frame I have at home. That’s where this blog fits in. Yes, it was supposed to be published already. However, it’ll be alright.
This is life and it’s ever-changing ways. Newsflash! We don’t control our environment. We mitigate it. Act and react with a positive mindset is the course to set. I am behind schedule. I am late. In truth, I am right where I need to be, when I need to be. Life does not happen on my schedule. Accept that truth and life begins to make sense. This is why I don’t speed when I’m late for work. Me being out of a particular area at a precise moment may be the reason I avoided a wreck. Life works like that.
If others depend on us keeping a schedule, and life decides to have other plans, we owe it to them to announce out impediment. Come on, that’s a common courtesy call. Do it. Approaching a #ohnoimlate moment is best done with a cool head. It will work out and others will understand. If they don’t, that’s on them. We are all human and we do not live a 100% isochronical scheduled life. Allow for unexpected moments. They are going to happen. It’s ok when they do happen. Keep that chin up buttercup.
Until the next blog, live life, be happy and find life’s happiness.
